Product Notes

Miguel Torres Santa Digna Carmenere is a wine that is crafted with care in the heart of Chile's Central Valley. The wine is made from 100% Carmenere, a grape variety that was believed to be extinct until it was rediscovered in Chile in the 1990s. The Santa Digna vineyard, where the grapes for this wine are grown, is located in the Colchagua Valley, a region known for producing high-quality Carmeneres. The wine is medium-bodied with a deep, ruby color and aromas of ripe berries and spices. On the palate, it is complex and rounded, with lively acidity and a long finish. This wine is a perfect pairing for grilled meats and hearty stews.

Tasting Notes

Cherry colour with fine mullberry aromas and balsmic touches of eucalyptus that culminate in a sublime hint of mandarin oranges. Elegant on the palate with sweet tannins and nuances of leather and spices. Its ageing in French oak lends it a pleasant toasted background.

About the Winery

Miguel Torres

Miguel Torres, a family-owned wine estate in Chile, has been in business for 30 years. Established in 1979, this company has been producing wines with utmost respect for the environment and terroirs where its grapes are grown. Miguel Torres was originally from Spain, but when he arrived at the Curico Valley in Chile in 1979, he knew that he had to start his winemaking business from there, because of the excellent soil quality and climate conditions of the location.

Currently, Miguel Torres and his team, have been focusing on making organic wines and have also got the Fair Trade Certification for the fair winemaking principles followed at the estate. Miguel Torres wines are made from grapes cultivated across some of the best wine regions in Chile such as the following:
