Tasting Note

Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of sun ripened pears and wet granite. The palate has a vibrant acidity balanced by a soft, round texture and some pithy character. The wine has a fresh, mineral finish

Product Notes

Mullineux Kloof Street Old Vines Chenin Blanc is a refreshing and elegant white wine that offers a truly unique taste experience. Made from old vines Chenin Blanc grapes grown in Swartland, South Africa, this wine boasts a rich and complex flavor profile that is both lively and velvety smooth. On the nose, it exhibits notes of honeydew melon, peach, and citrus zest, while on the palate, it reveals flavors of juicy fruits, hints of oak, and a touch of minerality. This beautifully balanced Chenin Blanc has a rich texture and a long finish, making it the perfect partner for a wide range of dishes, from grilled seafood to spicy Asian cuisine.

About the Winery

Mullineux

If you are looking for a taste of authentic South African wines with utmost character and elegance, Mullineux is the right choice for you. These wines are hand-crafted and produced in the rich granite and schist soils based in Swartland, South Africa.  Chris and Andrea worked in many wineries across France, South Africa and California. They put all their winemaking experience into the brand they created, Mullineux, in South Africa’s Swartland region. As soon as Chris and Andrea spotted the terroirs, climatic conditions and the soil qualities of this region, they knew that this was where they wanted to set up their label.
