Tasting Note

On the nose this wine shows great citrus aspects, ripe orange, and winter melon notes with some light toasted brioche in the background. Tangerine fruit and citrus blossom fragrances are apparent, with hints of vanilla pod and a slight salinity on the taste. These characteristics follow through onto the palate. The fine, fresh acidity is natural, and adds poise and focus to the wine.

Product Notes

Paul Cluver Wines Chardonnay is a crisp and refreshing white wine that boasts a perfect balance of fruity and oaky flavors. Aromas of tropical fruits, ripe apples, and subtle vanilla notes greet the nose, while the palate is treated to a blend of citrus, green apple, and pear flavors, with a subtle hint of oak spice. The wine is medium-bodied and has a smooth and creamy texture, with a bright acidity that lingers on the finish. This Chardonnay pairs perfectly with seafood, poultry, and light pasta dishes, making it an ideal choice for any occasion. Overall, Paul Cluver Wines Chardonnay is a delicious and well-crafted wine that is sure to satisfy any white wine lover's palate.

About the Winery

Paul Cluver Wines

Paul Cluver Wines is one of South Africa’s family-owned and run wineries located in the Elgin appellation. In the mid-1980s, Dr. Paul Cluver cultivated the first grapevines in the region, establishing the Wine of Origin. Soon, owing to his critical eye for detail and the desire to improve the quality of his productions, Paul realised and recognised the worth of Elgin as a Pinot country. Today, the Cluver family runs and manages Paul Cluver Wines. All the members are a pioneering and visionary spirit.
