Iona Fynbos Chardonnay is a cool-climate white wine from South Africa’s Elgin Valley, a region known for its elevated vineyards and maritime influence. It typically offers aromas of citrus, green apple and stone fruit, complemented by subtle floral and mineral notes. On the palate, fresh acidity brings energy and balance, while a gentle creaminess adds texture and depth. Oak influence, where present, is usually restrained, allowing the fruit and sense of place to shine. Elegant and refreshing, this Chardonnay pairs well with grilled fish, roast chicken, creamy pasta or soft cheeses. Serve lightly chilled to appreciate its lively character fully.
