Tasting Note

This Chinon offers a bright ruby‑red hue with violet highlights. The nose reveals ripe dark berries—cherry and blackcurrant—with liquorice, cedar, and subtle pepper notes. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, rounded and structured, featuring elegant, supple tannins, refreshing acidity, and a clean, savoury finish.

Product Notes

Philippe Alliet Chinon Rouge is a rich and elegant red wine crafted in the famed Chinon region of France. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, this wine showcases the unique terroir of the Loire Valley with its vibrant red fruit flavors and earthy undertones. On the nose, aromas of ripe berries, violets, and spice entice the senses, while on the palate, the wine offers a silky texture and well-integrated tannins. With a medium body and a long, smooth finish, Philippe Alliet Chinon Rouge is a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from roast pork to grilled vegetables.

About the Winery

Philippe Alliet

Domaine Philippe Alliet is a renowned family-owned winery located in Cravant-les-Côteaux, at the heart of the Chinon appellation in France’s Loire Valley. Founded in the mid-1980s by Philippe and Claude Alliet, the estate has become one of the benchmarks for modern Chinon wines. Philippe inherited old family vineyards and, alongside his wife and later their son Pierre, transformed the domaine with a commitment to low yields, precision viticulture, and meticulous cellar work. Their approach combines traditional Loire Valley sensibility with inspiration from Bordeaux’s structure and longevity.
