Tasting Note

A light dry wine, delicious when young but has the capacity and backbone to mature and develop in the bottle. Flavours of citrus, pear, green apple, melon and tropical fruit. Fresh, crisp and dry with both complexity and elegance. An ideal accompaniment to seafood and white meat dishes.

Product Notes

Pierro L.T.C. Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay is a unique and beautifully crafted wine that offers a harmonious blend of three classic grape varieties. This Australian wine showcases the best characteristics of each grape, with the Semillon providing a zesty citrus flavor, the Sauvignon Blanc adding a touch of herbal notes, and the Chardonnay contributing a smooth and creamy texture. The result is a well-balanced and complex wine with a refreshing acidity and a long, lingering finish. Ideal for enjoying on its own or paired with a variety of dishes, Pierro L.T.C. Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay is sure to impress even the most discerning wine connoisseur.

About the Winery

Like many of Margaret River’s early winemaking pioneers, Pierro founder Michael Peterkin originally trained as a medical doctor before pursuing his true passion for wine. During the 1970s he completed the prestigious Oenology program at Roseworthy College and gained valuable experience at several leading Western Australian wineries, including Cullen, where he produced Australia’s first Semillon–Sauvignon Blanc blend. In 1980, Peterkin established Pierro and successfully balanced life as a country doctor with building one of Margaret River’s most respected boutique wineries, finally retiring from medicine in 2020 at the age of 72.
