Product Notes

Pio Cesare Barbera d'Alba is a delicious, fruity red wine that is produced in the Alba region of Italy. Made using 100% Barbera grapes, this wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, which gives it a beautiful depth and complexity. On the nose, it boasts rich aromas of dark berries, cherries, and spices, while the palate is full and juicy with flavors of plums, blackcurrants, and a touch of vanilla. With its bright acidity and silky tannins, Pio Cesare Barbera d'Alba is a versatile wine that can be enjoyed with a variety of foods, including pasta dishes, grilled meats, and sharp cheeses.

About the Winery

Pio Cesare

The origin of Pio Cesare wines can be traced back to 1881. An affluent businessman, Pio Cesare, started this wine brand in 1881, as he wanted to produce limited quantity of wines for himself and his closed ones. He wanted to make the most of the fertile regions on the hills of Barolo and Barbaresco and create special wines from here. However, with every year, his passion for winemaking increased multifold.
