Pale rosé in colour, with a fine, elegant mousse and expressive aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant and raspberry, alongside subtle citrus, floral and mineral notes. The palate is fresh and delicate, with vibrant acidity, fine bubbles and a lightly creamy texture from the extended lees ageing. Red-fruit character is balanced by a distinctive saline, stony freshness, while the Xarel·lo brings structure and a subtle savoury edge. The finish is long, clean and beautifully dry.

About the Winery

Recaredo is one of Spain’s most respected producers of traditional-method sparkling wine, based in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia in the heart of the Penedès, just southwest of Barcelona. A family-owned winery with a history stretching back to 1924, it was founded by Josep Mata Capellades, who began his career as a professional bottle disgorgement specialist before building a cellar beneath his family home. Three generations later, the Mata family continues to oversee the estate, with the winery now firmly associated with some of the finest long-aged sparkling wines in Catalonia.
