An extraordinary single-vineyard Xarel·lo from 1940-planted vines, aged for over 12 years on its lees. Layers of pear, apricot and white flowers evolve into brioche, toasted nuts, dried fruit, balsamic herbs and mineral notes. Exceptionally fine and vibrant on the palate, with superb freshness, silky texture and a remarkably long, saline finish.

Recaredo Turó d’en Mota wine is a prestigious sparkling wine from the Penedès region of Catalonia, Spain. Made from the finest Xarel-lo grapes sourced from a single vineyard, this limited edition wine is a true expression of terroir and craftsmanship. The vineyard, located on a unique terroir known as Turó d’en Mota, is known for its chalky soil and cool climate, which impart a distinctive minerality and brightness to the wine. This sparkling wine undergoes a minimum of 100 months of aging on the lees, resulting in a complex and elegant flavor profile with notes of citrus, green apple, and toasted brioche. Recaredo Turó d’en Mota wine is a true representation of the dedication and passion of the winemakers at Recaredo, and a testament to the quality and heritage of Catalan winemaking.

About the Winery

Recaredo is one of Spain’s most respected producers of traditional-method sparkling wine, based in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia in the heart of the Penedès, just southwest of Barcelona. A family-owned winery with a history stretching back to 1924, it was founded by Josep Mata Capellades, who began his career as a professional bottle disgorgement specialist before building a cellar beneath his family home. Three generations later, the Mata family continues to oversee the estate, with the winery now firmly associated with some of the finest long-aged sparkling wines in Catalonia.
