Tasting Note

Family Farm very often parades a note of tea, soil and occasionally something almost peaty on the finish. The 2016 opens up with an expressive but calm nose, all fragrant wild cherry and peppered strawberry notes that float from the glass. On the palate the texture is all limpid ripe fruit, suave acidity, seamless fine grained tannins as flavours of wild herb, peach and strawberry coalesce around this gentle peaty finish.

Product Notes

Rhys Vineyards Family Farm Vineyard Pinot Noir is a delightful Pinot Noir that is sure to delight the senses. This wine has a deep ruby color that is indicative of its richness and depth of flavor. The aroma is a complex mix of ripe plums, cherry, and subtle hints of oak and spice. On the palate, this Pinot Noir is full-bodied, with a smooth texture and a robust flavor profile. The wine is well-balanced with just the right amount of acidity to bring out the flavors and aromas. This Pinot Noir would be perfect for pairing with duck or salmon, or enjoyed on its own as a sophisticated evening drink.

About the Winery

Rhys Vineyards

Founded in 2004, Rhys Vineyards was established by Kevin Harvey. Kevin was a passionate and ambitious wine collector famous in the wine region of Burgundy. Long before the winery’s launching, he made close associations and friendships with several well-renowned domains in the department of Cotes d’Or. It allowed him to access a few of his friends’ properties and study the soil chemistry, depth, structure, and overall terroir climate of those lands.
