Tasting Note

Wild lime blossom, meyer lemon zest and white nectarine. Acacia and lemon gum leaf. Talc and crushed limestone. Baked frangipani tart and peanut shell. There is a purity of granny smith apple, peach flesh with gentle rolling acidity. Oak sits like a hammock holding the delightfully ripe fruit in a cradle.

Product Notes

Riversdale Estate Chardonnay is an exquisite wine that showcases the best of Tasmania's cool climate winemaking. With a pale straw color and a delicate bouquet of citrus, green apple, and toasted oak, this Chardonnay is elegant and sophisticated. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with notes of white peach, lemon curd, and a hint of vanilla. The wine is well-balanced with a creamy texture and a long, lingering finish. Perfect for pairing with seafood, poultry, or creamy pasta dishes, Riversdale Estate Chardonnay is a true expression of the terroir and craftsmanship that goes into each bottle.

About the Winery

Riversdale Estate

Riversdale Estate is a distinguished family‑owned winery set in the heart of Coal River Valley, Tasmania, Australia — about 20 minutes from Hobart with sweeping views over the Pittwater and fertile valley vineyards. The property has deep agricultural roots dating back to 1824, but the modern wine chapter began when Ian Roberts purchased the estate in 1980 and planted its first vines in 1991, laying the foundation for what is now the largest privately owned vineyard in the Coal River Valley with around 40 hectares under vine.
