Tasting Note

It's splendidly fruited and inviting on the nose with dark fruit richness, charcuteries, dried herb, clove and toasted almond notes, followed by an impressively weighted palate offering richly textured mouthfeel backed by layers of fine-grained tannins. Robust yet silky and harmonious with a lengthy satisfying finish.

Product Notes

Riversdale Estate Crater Chardonnay is a premium Tasmanian wine that embodies elegance and sophistication. Grown in the pristine vineyards of the Coal River Valley, this Chardonnay is a true reflection of its terroir. The wine displays a beautiful golden hue and exudes aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and a hint of toasted oak. On the palate, flavors of ripe stone fruits, creamy vanilla, and a touch of minerality create a rich and complex taste profile. With a well-balanced acidity and a lingering finish, Riversdale Estate Crater Chardonnay is a perfect companion for seafood, creamy pasta dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own. Experience the beauty of Tasmania in every sip of this exceptional wine.

About the Winery

Riversdale Estate

Riversdale Estate is a distinguished family‑owned winery set in the heart of Coal River Valley, Tasmania, Australia — about 20 minutes from Hobart with sweeping views over the Pittwater and fertile valley vineyards. The property has deep agricultural roots dating back to 1824, but the modern wine chapter began when Ian Roberts purchased the estate in 1980 and planted its first vines in 1991, laying the foundation for what is now the largest privately owned vineyard in the Coal River Valley with around 40 hectares under vine.
