Tasting Note

A textural wine exploring the richer side of the grape with added phenolic grip. Rose gold hues. The scent brings stewed apple, pear and spice to the fore. There’s a hint of sweetness on the palate, a fruit tingle confection quality, amid more gris-like familiar territory of honeysuckle, ripe, spiced pear, apple and lemon.

Product Notes

Riversdale Estate Pinot Gris is a delightful white wine that offers a perfect balance of fruit and acidity. Grown in the picturesque vineyards of Tasmania, this wine exudes aromas of pear, apple, and citrus, with hints of floral notes. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with flavors of white peach, nectarine, and a touch of spice. The wine has a beautiful pale straw color and a clean, smooth finish. Perfect for pairing with seafood dishes, salads, or simply sipping on its own, Riversdale Estate Pinot Gris is a versatile and delicious choice for any occasion.

About the Winery

Riversdale Estate

Riversdale Estate is a distinguished family‑owned winery set in the heart of Coal River Valley, Tasmania, Australia — about 20 minutes from Hobart with sweeping views over the Pittwater and fertile valley vineyards. The property has deep agricultural roots dating back to 1824, but the modern wine chapter began when Ian Roberts purchased the estate in 1980 and planted its first vines in 1991, laying the foundation for what is now the largest privately owned vineyard in the Coal River Valley with around 40 hectares under vine.
