Product Notes

Rupert & Rothschild Classique is a sophisticated and elegant South African wine that offers a blend of classic Bordeaux grape varieties. The luxurious wine is made with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc grapes, giving it a complex and flavorful taste. The wine has a deep ruby red color and gives off rich aromas of dark fruit like blackcurrants and cherries, as well as a hint of tobacco and chocolate. Rupert & Rothschild Classique has a medium-bodied texture with fine tannins and a long-lasting, smooth finish. This wine is best served slightly below room temperature and pairs well with red meats and game.

About the Winery

Rupert & Rothschild

The winemaking history of the Rothschild winemaking is rooted in France. This was when James de Rothschild got possession of the Bordeaux estate chateau Lafite back in 1868. This is where he got passionate about vines, which has continued for years. His great-grandson continued the legacy. The grandson, Baron Edmond de Rothschild, was motivated by the desire to create the finest wines all over the world, and he established some outstanding wineries within Europe and later in different parts of the world. This collection forms his heritage.
