Tasting Note

Golden in colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe citrus and tropical fruits such as lemon, melon and pineapple are complemented by subtle honeyed and nutty nuances. A crisp and refreshing acidity on the palate perfectly balances the sweetness and carries the juicy fruit flavours onto the lingering finish. Best served chilled, this White Port can be savoured on its own, or as a refreshing ‘Portonic’ with a splash of tonic water, a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint.

Product Notes

Sandeman White Port is a light and fresh port wine, made using a blend of selected grapes from the Douro Valley in Portugal. It has a pale, straw-yellow color with golden shades, and a delicate and complex aroma with floral and fruity notes, including orange blossom, apricot, and peach, along with hints of vanilla and caramel.

On the palate, Sandeman White Port is sweet and smooth, but not overly rich, and has a crisp and refreshing finish. It pairs well with desserts, including fruit tarts, custards, and creamy cheeses, as well as with savory snacks like nuts and olives. With its balanced sweetness and bright acidity, Sandeman White Port is an excellent choice for any occasion.

About the Winery

Sandeman

The Sandeman winery was first established in 1790 by brothers George and David Sandeman. Eight years later, David quit and moved on to a different job, leaving George Sandeman to handle the affairs of the winery.  With its headquarters in Portugal, the Sandeman winery is quite famous for its Port & Sherry brand of wines. When you go on a wine tourism tour to Portugal, you cannot afford to miss the Sandeman winery.
