Tasting Note

A medium bodied Chardonnay with flavours of ripe peach and apricot combined with toast and vanilla

Product Notes

Terrazas de los Andes Chardonnay is a beautiful expression of Argentina's high elevation vineyards. The wine's pale yellow color with hints of green gives way to aromas of ripe tropical fruit, such as pineapple and mango, alongside floral notes and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with bright acidity balancing delicate flavors of pear, apple, and citrus. The finish is long and elegant, with a toasty, nutty character that is emblematic of barrel fermentation and aging in French oak. Overall, Terrazas de los Andes Chardonnay is a complex and satisfying wine that pairs well with rich seafood dishes, creamy pastas, and roasted poultry.

About the Winery

Terrazas de los Andes

Michel Aimé Pouget introduced the alleged "French grape" Malbec to Argentina in the year 1850. Sotero Arizu, who was among the founders in the manufacturing and marketing of Argentine wines, founded the current winery in 1898. Their oldest vineyard, Las Compuertas, was planted in 1929 and is located at the height of 1070 meters. In 1960, Moet & Chandon established their first company outside of France in Mendoza, making it the first French winery investment in South America. Terrazas de Los Ande is the result of more than thirty years of winemaking experience, and it was founded in 1996. The first two wines, Malbec Reserva and Gran Malbe were introduced in 1999.
