Product Notes

Tommasi Ca Florian Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva is a premium Italian wine, made from the finest grapes of the Valpolicella region. This wine is aged to perfection for five years, creating a rich, complex and intense taste profile, with notes of black fruit, dried fruit, spices and vanilla. The grapes are handpicked and fermented in large oak barrels to enhance their flavor and aroma. The wine is named after the historic Ca Florian estate, which belongs to the Tommasi family who have been producing wine for over 115 years. With its elegant taste, Tommasi Ca Florian Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva is the ideal accompaniment for red meats, game, and rich cheeses.

Tasting Notes

A deep ruby red with garnet highlights, on the nose it displays an elegant and very complex bouquet, with notes of ripe cherries, blackberries and plums, along with spicy nuances of liquorice and bitter cocoa. It is full-bodied and austere on the palate, with rich tannins and a very long, splendidly fresh finish.

About the Winery

Tommasi

Tommasi was founded in 1902 and is located in Pedemonte, in the heart of the historic Valpolicella Classico region. From grandfather Giacomo’s small vineyard holding, the Tommasi estate has developed over the years becoming one of the most recognised producers of Valpolicella and Lugana. The family owns vineyards in some of the prime hillside sites in the region and it is now managed by the 4th generation of the Tommasi family. An attentive ear to change, respect of place, and high-quality production are three driving factors that put Tommasi among Italy’s leading producers. Their expertise in crafting classic Amarone, reached the pinnacle in the newly launched De Buris project, a single vineyard, long aged expression of Amarone.
