Tasting Note

Near impenetrable colour, just beginning to fade slightly on the rim. Very lifted, floral bouquet of fresh lavender and violets. Multilayered on the palate with liquorice and cassis coating the succulent dark cherry and blackberry flavours. Broad and taught with schist tannins and fresh acidity giving the wine structure, balance and elegance. A wine to enjoy now, or through the next decade.

Product Notes

Warre's Bottle Aged Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) presents a deep ruby colour with aromas of fruity, balsamic and spicy notes. This port wine is produced from a single vintage, so it has a very particular character, showing off the best qualities of that specific year. The Warre's Bottle Aged LBV is aged for four to six years in oak barrels, and then spends more time in the bottle before being sold. This process allows the tannins to mellow and the fruit flavour profile to deepen, creating a smooth and well-rounded wine. With a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, this port finishes with a long and complex finish. Ideal to pair with mature cheese, dark chocolate, or rich fruit desserts.

About the Winery

Warre's

Warre’s Wines was established in 1870, but the roots for this company were developed during as early as 1670. It was during this time that two men from England, William Burgoyne and John Jackson decided to start a trading company in the north part of Portugal. Today, Warre’s Wines are one of the most popular wine brands in the country.
