Product Notes

Warre's Warrior Reserve is a traditional ruby port made from the Douro Valley region of Portugal. With a deep purple color, the aroma of this port is intense and dominated by ripe dark fruit, such as blackberries and plums, along with some hints of spices, vanilla and oak. On the palate, the flavors are rich and full-bodied, with notes of dark chocolate, figs and raisins. The sweetness is well-balanced by the natural acidity and tannins, providing a lingering finish. It is a versatile and affordable port that can be enjoyed slightly chilled on its own or served alongside an array of desserts, from chocolate cakes to fruit tarts.

Warre’s Wines was established in 1870, but the roots for this company were developed during as early as 1670. It was during this time that two men from England, William Burgoyne and John Jackson decided to start a trading company in the north part of Portugal. Today, Warre’s Wines are one of the most popular wine brands in the country.
