Product Notes

The F.X. Pichler Ried Steinertal Grüner Veltliner is a complex and sophisticated white wine from Austria's Wachau region. Crafted by one of the country's most renowned winemakers, this Grüner Veltliner showcases a beautiful balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality. The wine is made from grapes grown in the prestigious Steinertal vineyard, known for its unique terroir and optimal growing conditions. On the palate, flavors of ripe peach, green apple, and white pepper mingle with notes of flinty minerals and a crisp, refreshing finish. This elegant and expressive wine is perfect for pairing with fresh seafood, salads, or poultry dishes.

About the Winery

F.X. Pichler

F.X. Pichler is one of Austria’s most celebrated wineries, located in the Wachau—a breathtaking stretch of the Danube Valley designated a UNESCO World Heritage site for its dramatic scenery. The Pichler family has cultivated vineyards in the region for five generations. Franz Xaver Pichler established the estate in 1971, and today his son, Lucas Pichler, continues the family’s winemaking legacy. What began as a modest three hectares under Lucas’s grandfather has grown to twenty hectares, and as of 2024 all single-vineyard sites are fully certified organic.
