Product Notes

Tenuta delle Terre Nere Calderara Sottana Etna Rosso is a high-quality red wine produced in Sicily, Italy. It is made from a blend of local indigenous grape varieties, including Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. The grapes are grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soils of Mount Etna, which give the wine its distinctive character and complexity.

The Calderara Sottana vineyard is located at an elevation of 600-700m above sea level, with the vines ranging in age from 60 to 100 years old. This wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in large oak casks, resulting in a refined wine with a beautiful balance of fruit and acidity. It is an ideal pairing for grilled meats, spicy foods, and hard cheeses. Overall, Tenuta delle Terre Nere Calderara Sottana Etna Rosso is a premium wine that represents the best of Sicilian winemaking traditions.
