Tasting Note

Twelve Clones demonstrates the finesse of pinot noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands. It displays aromas of blackberry, cola, and allspice. Flavors of red and black fruit are complemented by notes of black plum and toasty oak. Perfectly poised, this medium bodied wine is light on its feet with elegant tannins and bright acidity.

Product Notes

Morgan Twelve Clones Pinot Noir is a wine that is rich and complex in flavor, offering a deep ruby color that captures the eyes at first glance. With aromas of dark, ripe cherries, blackberries, and sweet vanilla, this wine immediately delights the senses. Upon tasting, the palate is met with flavors of black cherry, raspberry, and plum, all harmonizing in a beautifully balanced structure. The wine's plush tannins and bright acidity offer a silky smooth mouthfeel, leaving a long, lingering finish of spiced berries and subtle oak notes. Overall, Morgan Twelve Clones Pinot Noir is an exceptional wine that embodies the true essence of Pinot Noir.

About the Winery

Morgan

The Morgan Winery was established in the year 1982 by Dan and Donna Lee. Dan Morgan Lee, the California-based wine enthusiast, realised his passion for making wines right when he was in his medical college. So, he proceeded to get his degree in enology, before starting to working at Jekel Winery, located in Monterey County. It was when he was working here that Lee learnt the art of winemaking thoroughly.
