From the lovely Petaluma Gap site, this wine is a mix of menthol, forest floor and noble reduction—totally savory in style. Moderately concentrated and ultimately fresh in bright acidity, it has a thickness of wild strawberry and cherry and a length of cardamom spice

The Lutum Gap's Crown Pinot Noir is a premium wine made from the finest grapes grown in the Gap's Crown vineyard, situated in the renowned Sonoma Coast region of California. The wine has a deep ruby color, with an intense aroma of raspberry, black cherry, and spice. On the palate, it has flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, and subtle hints of oak, with a smooth and velvety texture. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 16 months, which gives it a rich and complex character. It pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and strong-flavored cheeses. This Pinot Noir is an indulgence that will impress any wine connoisseur with its exceptional quality and taste.

About the Winery

Lutum

Born from a vision shared between Gavin Chanin and Bill Price, Lutum evolved due to a collaboration between the two talented individuals. Price is an entrepreneur and a veteran in the wine industry. He is the owner of Classic Wines and Price Family Vineyards. Additionally, he is the co-owner of Kistler Vineyards, Three Stick Wines, and Buccella. As the up-and-coming leader of the California winemakers, Chanin trained the art of winemaking under Qupé’s Bob Lindquist and Au Bon Climat’s Clendenen. He travelled expansively throughout the renowned winemaking regions of Italy and France. In 2007, Chanin launched his company Chanin Wine. He did it intending to produce wines in a more elegant and restrained style. Together, the two are also known as the Bards of Lutum.
