Tasting Note

Lifted citrus blossom and lemon aromas are accompanied by notes of honeydew melon and spice. This Assyrtiko shows great flavour concentration and a full texture, with a flinty streak of minerality. Lively and crisp with an endless finish.

Product Notes

Jim Barry Assyrtiko is an exquisite blend of Australian and Greek winemaking traditions. This crisp white wine is made from the Assyrtiko grape variety, commonly found in the Greek island of Santorini. It has a pale yellow color with a hint of green and a bouquet of tropical fruits, lemon, and herbs. The palate is elegant, with intense acidity and a refreshing minerality that makes it an excellent wine for pairing with a wide range of foods. It boasts a lingering finish that is both zesty and savory, leaving a mouthwatering sensation that lingers long after the last sip. Jim Barry Assyrtiko is a unique and delightful wine that every wine enthusiast should try.

About the Winery

Jim Barry

Located in the Clare Valley region of Australia, the Jim Barry wine label was established during 1959 by Jim Barry. The wines produced by him were known for their unique character and flavour. When he started making wines in this region, he was the first qualified person to do so. His wines were mostly made from varietals such as Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, his family members have taken over this brand.
