Tasting Note

The Grosset Gaia 2018 is opulent and powerful, with aromas of dark berries. The flavours of blackcurrant, bramble and graphite are plush and concentrated, and the firmish tannins, that will soften and flesh out with cellaring, are textured and long.

Product Notes

Grosset Gaia Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc is a premium Australian wine that stands out for its complexity and balance. The wine is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, sourced from the steeply sloping gaia vineyard in the Clare Valley. It has a deep ruby/garnet color with aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, mint, and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied with rich and succulent flavors of black fruits, dark chocolate, vanilla, and espresso. The wine has firm tannins and excellent acidity, which give it a long and satisfying finish. This wine is an excellent choice for enjoyable drinking now, or cellaring for up to 10 years.
