Main Divide Merlot Cabernet is an exceptional blend crafted from 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, grown in the picturesque vineyards of New Zealand's South Island. This wine boasts an intense ruby-red color, exhibiting rich and complex aromas of black cherries, blackberries, and cassis, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla, cinnamon and toasted oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with smooth and velvety tannins that give way to a long and elegant finish. This wine pairs perfectly with hearty meat dishes, roasted vegetables, and hard cheeses. Established in 1994 by the Donaldson family, Main Divide is a renowned winery that serves as the second brand and level after Pegasus Bay. The wine estate gets dedicated as a tribute and homage to the mountain range located on the Southern Alps in New Zealand. The winery’s logo and the name come from the range’s local name Main Divide.
