Product Notes

Chateau Ollieux Romanis Cuvée Alice is a prestigious red wine produced in the Languedoc region of France. This wine is made with 50% Grenache noir grapes, 25% Syrah grapes, and 25% Carignan grapes, which are aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The result is a full-bodied wine with a beautiful ruby color and aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and spices. Its tannins are well-structured, providing a long and elegant finish. The wine is named after Alice Caplan, the wife of the estate's founder, and is a perfect choice for special occasions or pairing with game meats and sharp cheeses. Overall, Chateau Ollieux Romanis Cuvée Alice is a wonderful representation of the excellent wines from the Languedoc region.

About the Winery

Chateau Ollieux Romanis

The French wine estate of Chateau Ollieux Romanis is considered to be one of the oldest in the world. Its history dates back to over a thousand years ago, during the role of the Romans. Today, the estate is located right in the centre of the Pinada Massif, in Corbieres. It is located right on the road that connects Abbeys of Fontfroide with Lagrasse. Thousands of years ago, this place was an important source of drinking water. The water sources can be seen even today, which is why the temperatures can be naturally controlled in the cellars. By the 18th century, this place started to become a wine-growing region of predominance in France.
