The balanced expression of yellow apple, dried florals, salt and complex citrus is wonderful, with texture and acidity in perfect tandem.

Product Notes

Millton Te Arai Chenin Blanc is an organic white wine produced by one of New Zealand's most renowned wineries, Millton Vineyards and Winery. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes grown in Gisborne, this wine exhibits aromas of fresh green apple, citrus blossom, honey, and a hint of stone fruit on the nose. On the palate, the wine is complex and well-balanced, with flavors of green apple, honeydew melon, and a touch of minerality that leads to a fresh and clean finish. The wine is fermented using wild yeast and aged in old French oak barrels, resulting in a wine with great depth and character. This wine pairs well with seafood, shellfish, and creamy pasta dishes.

About the Winery

Millton

Established in 1984, the Millton Vineyards and Winery holds the distinction of being certified as the first organic and biodynamic wine from New Zealand. James and Annie Millton had travelled to some of the premium wine-producing countries such as France & Germany and worked at the best estates there. With their knowledge and winemaking passion, they returned to the Gisborne appellation and planned to set up their own company near North Island.
