Product Notes

Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Te Kahu Red is an exceptional red wine with bold and intense flavors. It is crafted using carefully selected grapes grown in the Gimblett Gravels region of Hawke's Bay in New Zealand's North Island. The wine goes through a meticulous wine-making process, which includes aging in French oak barrels for 18 months.

On the palate, Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Te Kahu Red offers a complex and balanced blend of flavors, including blackberry, plum, chocolate, and spice. It is a full-bodied wine with a long and velvety finish that lingers on the tongue. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and hearty stews. Overall, it is a wine that combines elegance with power, perfect for those who crave a bold yet sophisticated red.

About the Winery

Craggy Range

The Craggy Range wine brand belongs to the historic Hawkes Bay region in New Zealand. It was set up in 1993 by the Peabody couple (Terry and Mary) with the sole aim to create a family legacy that could be run for many generations to come.  Since Terry didn’t want to cultivate vines on any existing vineyard, the couple zeroed in on the bare yet fertile land of New Zealand to set up its vineyard. The brilliant climatic conditions and the soil quality in this country gave wings to the Peabody couple’s winemaking dreams.
