Tasting Note

This wine is deep gold in colour, with aromas of orange blossom, negroni-like bitters, mint and thyme. The palate has a tightly wound structure of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon tannins spreading the fruit out to the back of the palate, with crisp natural acidity.

The wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, each adding their own unique characteristics to the blend. The Sauvignon Blanc contributes lively citrus and tropical fruit flavors, while the Semillon offers a rich, textural aspect to the wine. It is deliciously fresh and fragrant, with a crisp acidity that gives nice balance and a long finish. About the Winery

Cullen

It was during 1966 that Diana and Kevin Cullen realised the full potential of their vine-growing property located in Wilyabrup property located near Margaret River in Western Australia. The climate and soil quality of the place was so good that it had the potential to produce Bordeaux-quality wines.  Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling and Gewurztraminer were the first grape varietals planted on 17 acres of these vineyards in 1971.
