Tasting Note

Sailors call the bowline the ‘king of knots’- a knot that symbolises union, completion and eternal devotion. This blend ‘ties the knot’ between Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Ripe asparagus notes from the Sauvignon Blanc complements the green fig elements from the Semillon. A complex wine with well-balanced oak and a refreshing, smooth finish.

Product Notes

Ghost Corner The Bowline Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is a refreshing white wine made in Walker Bay, South Africa. The blend of two grape varieties, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, produces a wine that is crisp, zesty, and bursting with citrus and tropical fruit flavors like lemon, lime, and passionfruit. The nose is floral and fresh, with hints of green apples and herbs. On the palate, it boasts a lively acidity that makes it a perfect match for seafood dishes, salads, or light pasta. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for a bit of complexity and smoothness, which balances its vibrant soul. Ghost Corner The Bowline Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is the epitome of quintessential South African white wines, showcasing the region's unique terroir and winemaking techniques.

About the Winery

Ghost Corner

At the southernmost African tip lies the ghost corner wines. Over the years, over 130 ships have been destroyed by the treacherous waters. The issue with this area is the fact that compasses don’t show any deviation between the true and magnetic north. This makes navigating the area impossible, especially on stormy dark nights.
