Tasting Note

Rich tawny in colour. On the nose, pronounced aromas of dried fruits, honey and roasted nuts combine with spicy notes of vanilla and cinnamon. A wine of great elegance, there is a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity on the palate and the complex flavours develop on the exceptionally concentrated and long finish.

Product Notes

Sandeman 20 Year Old Tawny Port is a complex fortified wine with a rich, nutty flavor and a long, smooth finish. Aged for two decades in oak barrels, it boasts a deep copper color and an intense aroma of dried fruits, vanilla, and spice. The first sip offers a burst of flavors including caramel, toasted almonds, raisins, and honey, with a hint of wood smoke and a light acidity that balances the sweetness. This port is best served slightly chilled and pairs well with stilton cheese, dark chocolate, or caramel desserts. A truly indulgent experience for any port lover.

About the Winery

Sandeman

The Sandeman winery was first established in 1790 by brothers George and David Sandeman. Eight years later, David quit and moved on to a different job, leaving George Sandeman to handle the affairs of the winery.  With its headquarters in Portugal, the Sandeman winery is quite famous for its Port & Sherry brand of wines. When you go on a wine tourism tour to Portugal, you cannot afford to miss the Sandeman winery.
