Tasting Note

Bright brown colour with reddish hints. Complex nose, characterised by the presence of the wood notes wonderfully blended with aromas of spice, dried fruits and delicate hints of fruit jam. Well structured with good balance and firm, round tannins that emerge on the intense and velvety palate. Delightful persistence on the finish.

Barros Colheita Port is a sweet and complex fortified wine that has been aged in oak barrels for at least seven years. It has a deep and beautiful red color with an aroma of dried fruits, nuts and spice. On the palate, it boasts a rich and velvety texture with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, leading to a long and smooth finish. This Port is made from a blend of high-quality grapes, predominantly from the Douro Valley in Portugal. Barros Colheita Port can be enjoyed on its own or paired with desserts such as chocolate, cheese, or fruit tart. It is a perfect choice for special occasions or as an after-dinner drink.

About the Winery

Barros

Barros is a relatively new winery in the Douro region in Portugal. It was established at the beginning of the 20th century, in 1913. Irrespective of its modernity, the wine estate is one of the most respected and prestigious in the entire country. The wines produced and supplied by Barros serve as a celebration and representation of Portuguese talent. On top of that, they express the knowledge, passion, and experience of Portuguese winemakers since time immemorial.
