Tasting Note

A premium Tawny blend with an amber colour. Full of elegant flavours, Sandeman Imperial Tawny perfectly balances youthful fruits with more mature notes of dried fruits, nuts and fresh vanilla aromas. Rich in the mouth, its complex layers are long lasting on the finish.

Product Notes

Sandeman Imperial Tawny Port is a luxurious and rich fortified wine that boasts a beautiful mahogany color and a distinctive aroma of raisins and spices. It is made from a blend of high-quality grapes sourced from the Douro Valley region of Portugal and aged for at least ten years in oak casks. On the palate, this port is complex and full-bodied, delivering an array of flavors that range from dried fruits, vanilla, and caramel, to nuts, chocolate, and honey. The finish is long and smooth, perfectly balancing the sweetness and acidity. Sandeman Imperial Tawny Port is a great after-dinner drink that is best served slightly chilled and paired with a variety of desserts, cheese, or chocolate.

About the Winery

Sandeman

The Sandeman winery was first established in 1790 by brothers George and David Sandeman. Eight years later, David quit and moved on to a different job, leaving George Sandeman to handle the affairs of the winery.  With its headquarters in Portugal, the Sandeman winery is quite famous for its Port & Sherry brand of wines. When you go on a wine tourism tour to Portugal, you cannot afford to miss the Sandeman winery.
