Tasting Note

Complex array of aromas starting with oxidised Fino, rich and full, half way between Fino and Amontillado – some dried fruits such as sultana and a trace of old oak, something slightly humid and autumnal, the beginnings of that delightful Amontillado smell of toasted hazelnuts with a hint of honeyed sweetness and membrillo.

Product Notes

Emilio Hidalgo El Tresillo Amontillado Fino is a remarkable wine that showcases the best of Jerez, Spain. This fino sherry wine is crafted using the traditional solera system and aged for an average of 10 years, resulting in a complex and elegant flavor profile. The wine boasts a pale golden color and aromas of almonds, dried fruits, and a hint of sea breeze. On the palate, it is dry, crisp, and refreshing with flavors of toasted nuts, citrus, and a saline minerality. Emilio Hidalgo El Tresillo Amontillado Fino is a perfect pairing for a variety of tapas, seafood dishes, and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Founded in 1874, Bodegas Emilio Hidalgo is one of the historic names of Jerez de la Frontera, in Andalucía, southern Spain. The bodega remains a family-owned business and is now run by the fifth generation of the Hidalgo family. From its origins as a small family operation, the house has developed an international reputation for producing traditional, long-aged Sherries while maintaining a distinctly independent approach to winemaking.
