Tasting Note

This wine has a pleasant red current and cherry colour with the slightest hints of bronzed ruby which develop over time accompanied by a wonderful shimmer and transparency. It has an open, smooth, tender and elegantly fruity nose with hints of black cherry, raspberry, crushed wild strawberry, alcoholic fruit jam, tobacco and woodland floor. On the palate this is a classic, elegant, refined and smooth Pinot Noir wine, the flavour is structured by the tannin which is not too hard, making it easy to approach and thirst-quenching

Product Notes

Famille Hugel Classic Pinot Noir is a delightful red wine that showcases the spirit and character of Alsace, France. This wine comes from the Hugel family, who use traditional techniques to create a wine that is both elegant and refined. The nose has a lovely bouquet of red cherries, raspberries, and earthy notes. The palate is rich and expressive, with flavors of dark berries and spices. Its medium body and low tannins make it an excellent pairing for a wide range of dishes, such as roasted chicken or grilled seafood. This wine is perfect for any special occasion or a delightful evening with friends.

About the Winery

Famille Hugel

The Hugel family has been making wines in Alsace ever since 1639. While Hans Urich  Hugel’s family settled down in Alsace during the 15th century, he took control of Winegrowers' Corporation in the region during 1639. Within a few years, his son constructed the family house in the Rue des Cordiers. The family crest, which was carved on this house's doorway, is used as Famille Hugel’s logo even today.
