Product Notes

Altesino Rosso di Montalcino DOC wine is a vibrant and elegant red wine hailing from the renowned Montalcino region in Tuscany, Italy. Made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, this wine showcases a beautiful deep ruby red color and a bouquet filled with aromas of cherries, red berries, and floral notes. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance of fruity flavors, medium body, and smooth tannins. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering taste of ripe fruits and a hint of spice. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.

About the Winery

Altesino

Altesino is a celebrated winery in the heart of Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino region, set around the elegant 14th-century Palazzo Altesi in the rolling hills just east of Montalcino. Founded in the early 1970s, Altesino quickly became a pioneer in the area—introducing the concept of a single-vineyard “Cru” with its Montosoli Brunello in 1975, and later being the first to use small French oak barriques for aging, lending greater finesse and approachability to the wines.
