Tasting Note

Bright and juicy Chardonnay. This warmer vintage shows tropical and citrus notes, with heady aromas of pineapple, key lime pie and pink grapefruit. There’s a youthful richness on the palate, but juicy acidity keeps it crisp and fermentation in French oak gives it a toasty complexity.

Product Notes

Bodega Bouza is renowned for producing exceptional wines from their vineyards in Uruguay, and their Chardonnay is no exception. This elegant white wine exudes aromas of ripe tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, with hints of vanilla and a touch of oak. On the palate, it is bright and refreshing, with a perfect balance of acidity and creamy texture. The flavors of citrus and stone fruits mingle effortlessly, leading to a long and satisfying finish. Bodega Bouza Chardonnay is the perfect companion to seafood dishes, creamy pastas, or simply enjoyed on its own as a delightful aperitif.

About the Winery

Bodega Bouza

Bodega Bouza is a boutique family-owned winery with 35 hectares of vineyards spread across four distinct sites. Best known for its outstanding Tannat — Uruguay’s flagship variety — the estate also cultivates Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Tempranillo, Riesling and Albariño, becoming the first producer in the country to plant Albariño commercially. Founded in 2000 by Juan and Elisa Bouza on the site of a restored 1940s winery, the estate has quickly established itself as one of Uruguay’s most highly regarded and critically acclaimed producers, particularly for its single-vineyard Tannat wines.
