Tasting Note

It offers the nose some buttery, mineral notes and finely integrated spices from maturation in wood. The mouth feel is full, firm, massive and at the same time balanced with a firm structure.

Product Notes

Edi Simcic Chardonnay is a premium white wine made from carefully hand-picked grapes grown in the Brda region of Slovenia. This wine is beautifully aromatic, showing notes of pineapple, citrus, and apple on the nose. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced, displaying a creamy texture with just the right amount of acidity. The flavor profile includes white peach, honeydew, and fresh herbs, leading to a satisfyingly long finish. This wine is made using traditional winemaking techniques, using a combination of new and old oak barrels for aging. This allows for the perfect balance between fresh fruit flavors and subtle oak spice. Edi Simcic Chardonnay pairs exceptionally well with seafood, white meats, and cream-based dishes.

About the Winery

Edi Simcic

Edi Simčič is based in Goriška Brda in Slovenia, where the Southern Alps and the Northern Mediterranean mix. Brda has the perfect soil for wine cultivation as it is rich in minerals and salt. Therefore, the region can produce white wines, including Mediterranean mineral, exotic, fresh, full and capable of maturing up to five to six years. However, the company believes Rebula is their pride and identity.
