Tasting Note

Deep, almost opaque black in colour with red highlights and vibrant purple rims, showing bright intensity and youthful character. The nose is expressive and inviting, offering aromas of plum jam and raisins layered with notes of chocolate and gently integrated, balanced oak. On the palate, the wine is smooth and rounded, with sweet, soft tannins providing structure without heaviness. Ripe dark fruit flavours are complemented by subtle oak nuances, creating a harmonious and elegant profile with impressive length and persistence on the finish.

About the Winery

El Esteco

Bodega El Esteco is one of Argentina’s historic wineries, located in the high-altitude Calchaquí Valleys near Cafayate, Salta. Founded in 1892 by the French brothers David and Salvador Michel, with David’s Italian wife Gabriela Torino contributing to its development, the winery was among the earliest producers in the region. It helped put northern Argentine wines, particularly Torrontés, on the international map.
