Tasting Note

Iris, rose petal and menthol aromas take shape in the glass. On the taut elegant palate, polished tannins support sour cherry, cranberry and star anise. It's balanced and almost racy, with vibrant acidity. Drink 2019–2026.

Product Notes

Fratelli Alessandria Barolo is a rich and elegant wine with a deep garnet color and a complex nose of black cherries, plums, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm tannins and bright acidity, complemented by flavors of dark fruit, earthy notes, and hints of spice. This wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the village of Verduno, located in the Barolo region of Piedmont, Italy. Fratelli Alessandria Barolo is aged for 24 months in large oak casks and then refined in the bottle for an additional 18 months. It is an excellent wine to pair with hearty meat dishes or strong cheeses.

About the Winery

Fratelli Alessandria

The story of Fratelli Alessandria remains closely associated with that of the Alessandria family and the Verduno village. The family resided in the area since the mid-years of the 19th century. It was here that they established the winery in 1870 and named it Fratelli Alessandria.
