Tasting Note

Pale lemon yellow in colour, this is a fresh, youthful wine with zesty lemon-lime aromas and classic mineral notes. On the palate, it is dry and clean, with good structure and flavours of crisp ripe apple and a long, citrussy finish.

Product Notes

G.D. Vajra Pétracine Langhe Riesling is a refreshing and vibrant wine hailing from the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. It is made from 100% Riesling grapes, which are grown on south-facing slopes of the vineyard at an elevation of around 400 meters above sea level. This wine has a pale straw-yellow color and a nose that is full of floral, citrus, and mineral aromas. On the palate, it is crisp and lively with flavors of lemon zest, green apple, and wet stone. The finish is long and refreshing, with a bright acidity that provides balance to the sweet fruit flavors. Overall, G.D. Vajra Pétracine Langhe Riesling is an excellent wine that is perfect for pairing with light, summery dishes such as seafood, salads, and mild cheeses.

About the Winery

G.D. Vajra

Established in 1972 by Guiseppe Domenico Vajra (GD Vajra), this winery is located in the tallest village of Barolo in the north-western part of Italy. Here, the vineyards are located at an altitude of 400m. This brand uses grapes cultivated from its family-owned vineyards to craft exquisite wines. Today, all the 40 hectares of vineyards and the winery are managed by Vajra’s son, Aldo, along with his wife and children. Thanks to the popularity of these wines, the village of Barolo is quite well-known to wine lovers across the globe today.
