Product Notes

La Spinetta Barbaresco Starderi is a renowned Italian red wine hailing from the Piedmont region of Italy. This wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Starderi vineyard, which lies in the commune of Neive. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a traditional vinification process in stainless steel tanks before being aged in oak barrels for 20-22 months and then bottle-aged for a minimum of 12 months. The resulting wine is a deep ruby red color with a complex aroma of dark fruits, spices, and tobacco. It is full-bodied with a rich and velvety texture, offering a finish that lingers delightfully. La Spinetta Barbaresco Starderi is best enjoyed alongside rich meat dishes, aged cheeses, or as a sipping wine with good company.

About the Winery

La Spinetta

The journey of La Spinetta started in the early years of the 1960s with Giuseppe Rivetti and Lidia, his wife. The two were dedicated and expert farmers who held a colossal amount of knowledge and appreciation for the tradition of cultivation and winemaking. They also possessed immense curiosity and interest in knowing what the future holds. Giuseppe and Lidia exemplified respect, humility, and ambition in their work and passion. The values they hold dear define and signify the philosophy of the winery of La Spinetta to this day.
