Tasting Note

Intense ruby red with purple nuances. The aroma is expressive of the variety, with a distinctive fragrance of forest fruits, plums and wild cherries and a hint of sweet spices, toasted coffee and Mediterranean brush. This wine has a remarkable structure: soft and full-bodied on the palate with a fresh, elegant tannic backbone.

Product Notes

Li Veli Le Cerrate Primitivo di Manduria DOC wine is a bold and robust red wine originating from the Apulia region of Italy. This wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes, known for their intense flavor profiles and rich, velvety texture. The deep ruby red color entices the senses, while the aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice, and tobacco fill the air. On the palate, flavors of black cherry, plum, and sweet oak are balanced by firm tannins and a lingering finish. Perfectly paired with grilled meats or hearty pasta dishes, Li Veli Le Cerrate Primitivo di Manduria DOC wine is a luxurious and indulgent choice for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Li Veli

The Masseria Li Veli Winery is located on the historic Messapian area on the Salento Plains of Italy. It was during 1858 that famous Italian economist Antonio de Viti de Marco discovered this place. His sole objective was to develop this area into a state-of-the-art cellar, which would make Italy proud. During 1999, the Falvo family, which had a wide experience in the business of wine-making, developed an interest in these vineyards and took control over the place. Thanks to the family’s single-minded determination and expertise, the place was renovated and it started a new wine culture in the region of Apulia.
