Tasting Note

The wine presents a deep ruby red color with subtle terracotta hints, clean and intense, with colored tears on the glass reflecting its excellent structure. The nose is spicy and complex, showcasing black pepper, roasted red peppers, smoke, oak, and tobacco, with an intense and persistent aromatic profile. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced, supported by mature, attractive tannins, while flavors of black fruits, spices, and chocolate unfold in a long, refined finish.

Product Notes

El Esteco Don David Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich and elegant wine from the Calchaqui Valley in Argentina. This bold red wine is crafted from handpicked grapes grown at high altitudes, resulting in intense flavors of blackcurrant, plum, and dark chocolate. Its full-bodied and velvety smooth texture makes it a perfect choice for red meat dishes, especially grilled steak or lamb. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, giving it a hint of vanilla and spice on the finish. With its well-balanced acidity and long-lasting finish, El Esteco Don David Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a true expression of the terroir and craftsmanship of the winemakers.

About the Winery

El Esteco

Bodega El Esteco is one of Argentina’s historic wineries, located in the high-altitude Calchaquí Valleys near Cafayate, Salta. Founded in 1892 by the French brothers David and Salvador Michel, with David’s Italian wife Gabriela Torino contributing to its development, the winery was among the earliest producers in the region. It helped put northern Argentine wines, particularly Torrontés, on the international map.
