Tasting Note

The wine displays impressive chromatic intensity, with bright red, ruby, purple, and black hues, signaling good structure and maturity. Its concentrated aromatic profile highlights very ripe red berries, complemented by notes of raisins, mild fresh herbs, and subtle hints of oak and coffee from barrel aging. On the palate, mature and vibrant tannins frame flavors of dark fruits, culminating in a long, elegant, and persistent finish.

Product Notes

El Esteco Estate Malbec wine is a true embodiment of the captivating beauty and rich history of the Calchaqui Valley in Argentina. This exceptional wine is crafted from grapes grown in the high-altitude vineyards of the estate, where the unique climate and terroir impart a distinctive character to the wine. A deep, ruby-red color hints at the bold flavors of dark fruits, plum, and blackberry that dance on the palate. Velvety tannins and a lively acidity balance the wine perfectly, creating a harmonious and elegant finish. El Esteco Estate Malbec is a timeless classic that epitomizes the essence of Argentine winemaking.

About the Winery

El Esteco

Bodega El Esteco is one of Argentina’s historic wineries, located in the high-altitude Calchaquí Valleys near Cafayate, Salta. Founded in 1892 by the French brothers David and Salvador Michel, with David’s Italian wife Gabriela Torino contributing to its development, the winery was among the earliest producers in the region. It helped put northern Argentine wines, particularly Torrontés, on the international map.
