Tasting Note

Moderate in colour the ethereal nose has bright red fruits, beetroot and hints of rhubarb. The palate has good sweetness of fruit and a structure and elegance more akin to Burgundy than the new world.

Product Notes

Bodega Bouza Pan de Azúcar Pinot Noir is a delicate and elegant red wine hailing from Uruguay. Sourced from the Pan de Azúcar vineyard, this wine showcases the unique terroir of the region through its vibrant red fruit aromas and subtle earthy undertones. With a pale ruby color and medium body, this Pinot Noir offers a smooth and silky texture on the palate, with soft tannins and a lingering finish. Its refreshing acidity makes it a versatile pairing for a variety of dishes, from roasted duck to grilled salmon. This sophisticated wine is a true expression of the craftsmanship and dedication of Bodega Bouza.

About the Winery

Bodega Bouza

Bodega Bouza is a boutique family-owned winery with 35 hectares of vineyards spread across four distinct sites. Best known for its outstanding Tannat — Uruguay’s flagship variety — the estate also cultivates Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Tempranillo, Riesling and Albariño, becoming the first producer in the country to plant Albariño commercially. Founded in 2000 by Juan and Elisa Bouza on the site of a restored 1940s winery, the estate has quickly established itself as one of Uruguay’s most highly regarded and critically acclaimed producers, particularly for its single-vineyard Tannat wines.
