Tasting Note

The nose is matured and youthful at the same time. It offers discrete roasted notes and an aroma of yellow fruit. It has a firm, full mouth feel with a longer aftertaste. It wins us over with distinct acidity, saltiness, and a mineral note, which cleans the mouth. After three or four years and with the development of tertiary aromas, it becomes even more complete and excellent than it was in its youth.

Product Notes

Edi Simcic Rebula, also known as Ribolla Gialla, is a white wine that originates from the Goriška Brda region in Slovenia. This wine is produced using Ribolla Gialla grapes, which are known for their citrusy aroma and high acidity. Edi Simcic Rebula has a pale yellow color and a refreshing taste that is perfect for any occasion. On the nose, one can detect notes of lemon, grapefruit, and green apple, while on the palate, the wine boasts a lively acidity and a mineral-rich finish. This wine pairs well with light appetizers, seafood, and chicken dishes. It's perfect for anyone who enjoys a crisp and zesty white wine.

About the Winery

Edi Simcic

Edi Simčič is based in Goriška Brda in Slovenia, where the Southern Alps and the Northern Mediterranean mix. Brda has the perfect soil for wine cultivation as it is rich in minerals and salt. Therefore, the region can produce white wines, including Mediterranean mineral, exotic, fresh, full and capable of maturing up to five to six years. However, the company believes Rebula is their pride and identity.
