Product Notes

Valdespino Fino Inocente Pago de Macharnudo is a fine sherry wine crafted in Jerez, Andalusia. Made from 100% Palomino grapes grown on the legendary Pago de Macharnudo vineyard, this sherry boasts a bright and pale yellow color with a distinct aroma of almond and apple. The flavor profile is dry with a light body and a fresh acidity that leaves a refreshing and crisp finish on the palate. This modern classic sherry has been aged for a minimum of six years, using the traditional solera system under flor, a layer of yeast that covers the wine, giving it its unique character. Pair this wine with seafood, cheese, and savory tapas to enhance your dining experience.

About the Winery

Valdespino

The history and story of Valdespino go back to 1264 A.D. At that time, Don Alfonso Valdespino became the first person from the Valdespino family to grow, vinify, and age Sherry wines. Don Alfonso was a member of the 24 Christian Knights under King Alonso. They were notable for their fight to re-conquer the City of Jerez from the control of the Moors. The venture for Valdespino began when Don Alfonso and the other Knights received land in the City of Jerez as a reward for their victory.
