Tasting Note

Brunello has a bright ruby red colour, which tends to garnet with the passing of the years. On the nose it expresses intense, clean, pleasant and refined aromas that open with notes of violet, tobacco, chocolate and pleasant memories of undergrowth and vanilla. On the palate it has excellent correspondence with the nose, a well-balanced attack, full body, good tannins and important texture.

Product Notes

Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wine is a premium Italian red wine known for its exceptional quality and elegance. Made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the prestigious Montalcino region of Tuscany, this wine is aged for a minimum of two years in oak barrels before bottling. The result is a complex and full-bodied wine with notes of ripe red fruit, earth, and spice. Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wine has a rich and velvety texture, balanced acidity, and smooth tannins, making it a perfect pairing for hearty dishes like roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses. It is a true expression of the terroir and craftsmanship of Altesino winery.

About the Winery

Altesino

Altesino is a celebrated winery in the heart of Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino region, set around the elegant 14th-century Palazzo Altesi in the rolling hills just east of Montalcino. Founded in the early 1970s, Altesino quickly became a pioneer in the area—introducing the concept of a single-vineyard “Cru” with its Montosoli Brunello in 1975, and later being the first to use small French oak barriques for aging, lending greater finesse and approachability to the wines.
